A course where we tan sheepskin using traditional methods. The course takes place during two weekends and includes scraping, washing,
tanning with fat, washing and softening. The course also includes a shorter theory session on the basics of traditional leather tanning.
Lunch, coffee and a snack are included in the course fee. Upon purchase, you will receive a welcome email with information on how to inform us of any dietary requirements.
Course segments, 1st session
Saturday
Scrape off salt, fat, membranes
Wash the leather 2-3 times
Dry the coat
Sunday
Stretch out the skin
Grease, work the fat into the skin
Course segments, 2nd session
Wash the leather 1-2 times (Friday/Saturday)
Dry the coat (Saturday)
Softening (Saturday/Sunday)
Accommodation package Lappudden
We offer accommodation packages together with nearby Lappudden’s Outdoor centre, which is beautifully located by Vågsfjärden, approx. 5 minutes by car from Nordingrå Konstby.
If you would like to walk, a stretch of the High Coast Trail runs between our facilities. A slow walk car about 25 minutes. Choose between shared or private room.
The price includes a breakfast buffet. The possibility of self-catering is available. It is also possible to rent a sauna, canoe or electric bicycle.

CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel up to 24 hours in advance with a full refund available if your cancellation is due to illness.
CURRENCY
You can choose to pay in Swedish kronor SEK, Euro EUR, Pounds Sterling GBP or US Dollars USD. The default currency is Swedish kronor. If you change currency during the payment process, your basket will be nulled, therefore we advise that you select your currency before making your purchase.
